All authors of accepted short abstracts are invited to submit a full paper (6 pages) or an extended abstract (2 pages, which must contain results, one figure or table, and necessary details about the results and findings) using the conference template (submission deadline: 07/02/2022).
The full paper / extended abstract submission is supported by Springer Online Conference Service (OCS) which is the same submission system for previous short abstracts. On submission, authors can upload their PDF documents as demonstrated below.
Before uploading the documents, authors are required to check the existing paper metadata (e.g. authors’ list with affiliations, title, abstract, keywords, etc.) in the system by clicking ‘update the data before performing the upload’ and then indicate their preference of an oral or poster presentation by ticking in the paper sessions, as shown below.
Full papers and extended abstracts will undergo a full peer review process (submissions receiving two reviewers’ responses of ‘major revision’ will be rejected and those receiving a ‘major’ and a ‘minor’ revision will be subsequently reviewed by the Scientific Committee chairs) before acceptance and notification of the format of the presentation.
Oral presentations will be limited to 70-80 of the best submissions (including both full paper and extended abstract). Those contributions not selected for an oral presentation will be invited to prepare a poster, for which there will be a significant and dedicated plenary time to show case at the conference.
A selection of the best of the accepted full papers (either oral or poster) will be determined by the Scientific Committee and invited for publication in the conference proceedings in a RILEM Series book (included in Web of Science) by Springer. Upon acceptance, as is the rule for RILEM conferences, the authors of full papers will be required to transfer their copyright to RILEM. Please note that this will prevent any further publication of the same results in any other indexed media.
Please use the same account details of the short abstract submission for login.
